The 75 foot tall Norway Spruce was placed in the plaza on Saturday, November 14th. Upon the installation of the tree, workers found a 7 inch Northern Saw-whit, one of the smallest species of owl that live in upstate New York. The little guy was found nestled in the branches of this massive tree. Amazing that he was still alive after several days of travel. Workers immediately called Ravensbeard Wildlife Center to take him in. After several days of rehab, the newly named owl, Rocky was released back into the wild. Check out his amazing journey HERE.
