Virgin Galactic Blasts off into Space!

One week ago today, on July 11, 2021, Sir Richard Branson took off as a passenger on his Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo Unity. The day was one of excitement as this was the official ribbon cutting to space tourism for everyone. This was also a long sought after dream of Richards that has finally come to a reality!

The Ship and six crew members were carried by the mothership, (named after Richards mother) the VMS Eve from Spaceport America in New Mexico. They cruised up to 50,000 feet and then released, immediately the ship blasted its rocket upward toward the stars. In total the event took about one hour, with fifteen minutes of weightlessness, 53 miles up.

Now Space flight is here and available to everyone, as long as they can handle the beefy price tag of a whopping $250,000. YOUCH! We'll wait for the price to go down before booking that seat.
