For one day Shrimp ‘n Lobster will stand-off with a San Francisco tradition, Fleet Week!
If you have decided not to take part in Fleet Week and are looking to do something else, then you’re in the right place. Shrimp ‘n Lobster will be at the Botanical Gardens with Green Apple Books! The event itself will be in the Fragrance Garden. Explore your inner Darwin along with a Shrimp ‘n Lobster coloring-page booklet designed specifically for this event!
Here’s a fascinating and true fact about me: I HAVE NO SENSE OF SMELL! I unfortunately lost it ten years ago. So when you show up, I would be thrilled if you tell me what exactly you are smelling! Is it sweet, musky, or downright stinky! Perhaps you can help me conjure up even more pages about this little gem within the Botanical Gardens. How fun would that be?!
There will be several amazing people at the event, including my publisher and two super bright and enthusiastic Shrimp ‘n Lobster Ambassadors. They will be there to help and take photos of this unique event! Perhaps you'll see yourself on Instagram as a super-explorer. We are all there to have fun and say hello to explorers of nature and the city, and that means YOU!
I will be there to sign books and talk about my salty BFFs. And guess what you’re not limited to just San Francisco. You can purchase a Shrimp ‘n Lobster Adventure New York City too! So you get the best of both coasts. With each book you will receive a bookmark with instructions on how to draw Lobster. Additionally, you’ll also receive a free Sea Creatures Pocket Book. You might be so inspired to explore you’ll go straight to the California Academy of Sciences next with your San Francisco Adventure book and your Sea Creatures Pocket book to seek out the amazing creatures and have fun learning!
We will also be raffling off a Shrimp ‘n Lobster hoodie and tee. Perhaps you’ll be the winner of super cool Shrimp ‘n Lobster gear, featuring one of our favorite Sea Creatures as well as a signed copy with original illustration of Shrimp ‘n Lobster.
The event is free with Garden Admission. Just know, if you’re a local to San Francisco, your entrance fee is free, just be sure to show your ID. It is very much appreciated that you register for the event. That way I know how many cute booklets to print out! Please RSVP HERE.
Please note that the current Garden COVID protocol requires masks indoors only. People who are outdoors (like us) in close proximity to other people who are not part of their household are STRONGLY encouraged to wear a filtered mask. We want everyone to stay healthy!
